It’s normal to be skeptical that rebates, bonuses, free stuff are all just hype to lure you into a sale when in reality the “free” stuff is just built into the price. Such is not the case with New Frontier Energy and our solar program. Both the local rebate and the federal incentive for non-profits come in the form of a CHECK paid to you, to help you pay for your very own solar power plant.

If you are a CPS Energy customer and a non-profit entity you are eligible for up to $80,000 in a cash rebate PER ACCOUNT! That’s right if you have multiple accounts you can get multiple rebates up to $80,000!

This incentive was started as part of the STEP2020 program launched by San Antonio City Council in 2008 to replace the cost of a new power plant through energy savings programs. They have since paid out approximately $400,000,000 in instant rebates for local solar projects. You don’t want to miss out on this very generous energy savings program.

Not a CPS customer? That’s OK too. There is a federal incentive of up to 50% of the total cost of your solar system. Once again, this is a payment by check for that amount and not some hidden adder built into the price. This incentive (tax credit) became available to non-profits in the “Inflation Reduction Act” of 2022. Within that is also the “elective pay” option where you can request to get paid by a check upon completion and filing because you don’t have any tax liability.

With most solar programs, you the client must pay for these incentives up front or borrow the full amount of the system cost and then later get reimbursed when these payments come in. That is not the case with New Frontier Energy LLC. You don’t pay anything up front! The amount of those incentives are deferred until they come in and when they do you then pay that amount toward your solar energy system.
